Fonds consists of miscellaneous papers and photos relating to the work of George Phillips at HMC Dockyard, Esquimalt naval stores, his service during World War I, and arctic expeditions.

Fonds includes two Department of Naval Services inspection reports for HMC Dockyards, Halifax and Esquimalt prepared by George Phillips and 11 Department of Naval Services folders containing documents relating to the operation of the naval stores dating from 1917-1922. as well as photocopies of correspondence between George Phillips, V. Stefansson, Mrs. R.M. Anderson, Mrs. Murray, and G.J. Desbarats dating from 1913 to 1915.

Fonds also includes miscellaneous ephemeral related to the Royal Canadian Navy including two issues of "The Naval Volunteer" Magazine dating to December 1915 and January 1916, a Royal Naval Club, Esquimalt account book dating from October 1896 to 31 October 1911, a small painting of HMS Shearwater c. 1911, a pencil drawing of a fireplace with specs c. 1931, a handwritten letter in envelope dated 1912, and a Seattle press club visitor's card for Mr. G. Phillips.

Also includes a small booklet containing information about Canadian Pacific Steamships and a passenger list for the Empress of Scotland sailing from Quebec to Cherbourg and Southampton Wednesday 18 July 1928 as well as a diner menu for Tuesday 24 July 1928 and a lunch menu for Wednesday 25 July 1928. The menus are postcards on the reverse and were collected as souvenirs of a voyage taken by Miss J. Phillips.

Fonds consists of documents relating to HMCS Skeena including A station card and a card containing the names of personnel from her maiden voyage from Portland, England to Esquimalt, British Columbia 25 June 1931 and a handmade booklet titled "Crossing the Line: HMCS Skeena: 4th February 1938" containing crossing the line ceremony procedures. The front cover is hand-drawn and E.R. Nutter's signature is on the front in green ink.

Fonds also includes a magazine titled "Programme of the Coronation Review of the Fleet by His Majesty the King" dated 20 May 1937 and published under the authority of the Portsmouth Navy Week Committee, a programme for "The Royal Canadian Navy presents Meet the Navy" published by the Directorate of Special Services, and a March 1940 issue of "Bos'n's call" magazine published by HMS Naden.

Fonds consists of a typed program for HMCS Niobe and VJ Day as well as the Victory Cruise, part two of the VJ Day celebration.

Fonds consists of a copy of a manuscript titled "The Secret Visit of RMS Queen Elizabeth to Esquimalt in 1942 - The Last in a Series of Notable Events in the Area" written by Daniel T. Gallacher, Curator of History, British Columbia Provincial Museum.

The first booklet contains information, illustrations, and photographs regarding Italian, and German vessels, and Russian, Italian, and German aircraft,
The second booklet contains information, illustrations, and photographs of the Japanese Navy,
The third booklet contains information, illustrations, and photographs regarding the Japanese Navy. It is stamped with the name R.M. Fortson, Jr.

Fonds consists of a document regarding D-Day Operation Neptune and a souvenir copy of 'Elizabethan News', dated 14 December 1942.

Fonds consists of the record of service for Captain Eugene Plawski dating from his time in cadet school in 1914 through to his service in World War II and including a list of his decorations.

Also includes a newspaper clipping titled "Polish Naval Captain Starts Life Anew Here", dating from 1946/47.

Fonds consists of written accounts of the sinking of TEV Princess Marguerite. One, photocopied from a newspaper, the other, a typewritten account from Hugh J. Tumilty, fifth engineer on the Princess Marguerite from September 1940 to 17 August 1942 when she was torpedoed. This account was sent to Mr. Chris Horn in 1985.
