              Series consists of records relating to the correspondence between members of the Steamship Inspectors Office including the Chairman, Senior Steamship Inspectors and Steamship Inspectors, amongst others regarding inspections done before and after the requisition of vessels for the second world war. There is also additional correspondence, including with the owners of the vessels.

              Built in 1929 by Coal Harbour Shipyards, Vancouver as a fish packer. In 1940 she was requisitioned into the Fishermen’s Reserve, she was a patrol boat and a tender to HMCS Givenchy and Givenchy II.
              The file contains correspondence regarding the requisition of the vessel for the Second World War between JT Edmond, HG Robinson, TM Stephen, TH Evans, AA Stephens. The reports within the file from 1944 were done at the VMD and there are also reports from 1940, the reports from both periods are on the general condition of the machinery and hull, as well as cylinder measurements from 1944.
