              Series consists of records relating to the correspondence between members of the Steamship Inspectors Office including the Chairman, Senior Steamship Inspectors and Steamship Inspectors, amongst others regarding inspections done before and after the requisition of vessels for the second world war. There is also additional correspondence, including with the owners of the vessels.

              She was built in 1913 by Rennie Forrest SE and Dry Dock Co. Ltd. in Wivenhoe Essex. She was converted into a yacht in 1927 when she was bought by Vancouver based Captain JW Hobbs, and then was bought by Eric Hamber the Lt. Governor of BC. She was requisitioned 1941-1946 for the Fishermen’s reserve and was examination vessel at Esquimalt. The file contains correspondence regarding the requisition of the vessel for the Second World War between TH Evans and AA Stephens.
