Fonds consists of photographs and documents related to the life and career of Captain Ron Newell who served as Victoria's Harbour Master from the 1940s to 1971, including documents related the sinking of a ship he was on as a teenager and his subsequent journey by lifeboat to safety, his work on Merchant Marine vessels, and photographs of various ships.

Fonds consists of six issues of "The Log" magazine of HMCS Royal Roads, Royal Canadian Naval College from 1943 to 1948, and 1953 and a copy of the 1954/1955 issue of "Venturian" magazine containing articles in both English and French.

Fonds also includes programmes for the Commemoration Service of the Battle of the Atlantic from 1956, 1957, and 1970, a Christmas card from Robin Hayward to Commander Little featuring a copy of a photograph of the HMCS Algonquin, and an extract from a report on the proceedings of HMC Skeena and Saquenay at the Coronation of His Majesty King George VI, 4 June 1937.

Fonds consists of 53 certificates issued to Charles Edward Wilson pertaining to his naval career from indenture to retirement dating from 1871 to 1920.

Fonds also includes a certificate of indenture for Charles William Walton, grandson of James Black, to apprentice with Thomas William Gunter (sp?) and Charles Bishop for 7 years starting 1 September 1850 and ending 1 September 1857.

Fonds consists of naval messages, call signs, and correspondence kept by Mr. Charles Griffiths, ex-chief yeoman of signals, Royal Canadian Navy.

Three continuous certificates of discharge booklets of Clarence J. Bonner, no. 947895 for service 1 May 1918 until 15 June 1944, listing names of ports and dates of discharge. Slipped inside the back of the first book is a certificate issued by the general register and record office of shipping and seamen dated 15 January 1919, listing the vessels on which C. Bonner served from 1916 to 1918.

Also includes a certificate of competency first class engineer (steamship) for Clarence J. Bonner no. 60423 dated 10 September 1924 and a photocopy of a scroll/monument awarded to Clarence J. Bonner by Canadian Pacific Railway Company for his service during World War I.

Documents and correspondence relating to RMS Empress of Japan and Canadian Pacific Steamships ca. World War II. Includes handwritten notes, poems, and drawings, narrative accounts of various naval operations, professional correspondence, instructions, and several issues of "Serial Waves" newsletter. These documents are housed in an RMS Empress of Russia leather document holder.

Fonds consists of items related to the seafaring life on the S.F. Tolmie including a certificate to Frankham from 'Neptune' in the crossing the line ceremony and photographs of the crossing the line ceremony, S.F. Tolmie under heaving seas, and of the crew in general. The sound recording (1979) is a taped interview of Dan Frankham describing the voyage to Sydney, Australia in 1922 aboard the S.F. Tolmie.

As well as, Island Tug & Barge Limited correspondence dating to 1961, an inspection certificate for SS Sudbury, and coasting trade (customs) regulations.

Fonds consists of an undated diagram/plan showing gun sights and mounting, a diagram showing the production of fuze hacs, and a document containing diagrams/drawings describing different types of firearms.

Fonds consists of certificates relating to the service of Charles Edward Stewart and Lieutenant William Stewart.

• Certificate from William B. Pauli, consul of his British Majesty in Buenos Aires to Charles Edward Stewart, dated 26 October 1882, entirely in Spanish,
• Two handwritten letters dated 18 July and 22 July 1814, signed by W. Steward, HMS San Josef addressed to captain John Phillips, RN and my brother which begins by saying “The French fleet are now in sight” and lists how Stewart wished his property to be divided equally between his son and daughter and enumerating how he wished various effects divided and debts owed to his Coxswain and servant,
• Commissioning certificate appointing Lieutenant William Stewart as lieutenant of HMS Royal William, dated 15 may 1797,
• Commissioning certificate appointing William Stewart as commander of HMS [?], dated May 1810.

Fonds consists of the black, leather diary of E.A. Morris, father of the donors. The diary is divided into three trips, London to New York on Board the Steamship Danmark from 11 April to 28 April 1877, New York to San Fransisco by train from 28 April to 10 May 1877, and San Fransisco to Cassiar Mines via Victoria, BC on board the City of Panama from 19 May to 16 June 1877. There are also, additional notes up to 1886. Slipped inside the diary is a card for the National Steamship Company, Limited with a plan of the cabin of the steamship Denmark.
