Fonds consists of the International Exhibition Glasgow 1901 official catalogue of the Scottish History and Archaeology Section published by Chas. P. Watson. Page 154 contains a description of an old armchair made from the oak of the largest of the Spanish Armada ships which was wrecked on the West Kilbride coast near Portincross Castle, inscribed on back 'W.B. 1692'. The inscription belongs to William Baillie who was superior of Kilbride Barony at about that time. Also included are a typed explanation from the donor and a newspaper clipping.

Also photographs of the first vessels repaired by Yarrows Ltd. (once Bullen's), Royal Navy Ships, and salvage vessels. Also a drawing (pencil or charcoal) of V.C. Admiral Commerell.
