There are quotes sent by Island Tug & Barge Co. Ltd. and Canadian Fairbanks-Morse Co Ltd for a water scow. In one letter there is discussion of the cost of towing to Yorke Island.

Built in 1908 in Esquimalt she has been owned by a number of different government departments. 1940-1946 she was owned by Pacific Salvage Co. during which she was requisitioned for the Second World War.

She was built in 1913 by Rennie Forrest SE and Dry Dock Co. Ltd. in Wivenhoe Essex. She was converted into a yacht in 1927 when she was bought by Vancouver based Captain JW Hobbs, and then was bought by Eric Hamber the Lt. Governor of BC. She was requisitioned 1941-1946 for the Fishermen’s reserve and was examination vessel at Esquimalt.
