Also includes a Canadian Pacific Steamship menu for a goodbye dinner held 5 April 1940 with approx 10 signatures inside, a continuous certificate of discharge booklet issued by the Department of marine & Fisheries Canada for Arthur Stewart Andrews recording discharges from CPR ships between 1936 and 1941, and 12 black and white photos of CPR ships which were removed from a photo album prior to being donated

Fonds consists of a folder containing correspondence regarding the Canadian Pacific Railway Company Steamship Service and the Brotherhood of Railway and Steamship Clerks, Freight Handlers, Express and Station Employees. Documents are related to changes being made to meal checks, the issue of shortages sustained by cashiers and complaints and problems aboard SS Nanaimo, SS Princess Elizabeth, SS Princess Joan, and TEV Princess Marguerite.

Also includes a folder containing general correspondence, reports, and financial statements regarding Canadian Pacific British Railway Company Steamship service and Union Steamships Limited relating to the 1954 voyages of SS Yukon Princess and SS Cassiar.

Fonds consists of photographs, photographs cut out of newspapers and magazines, a continuous certificate of discharge, a certificate as fourth class engineer, an identity certificate, and assorted correspondence related to the service of Floyd Norman Vangen dating from 1940 to 1949.

Also includes a framed certificate of competency as second class engineer dated 1956 and, taped to the reverse side of the frame, a certificate of competency as third class engineer dated 1952.

Also includes a souvenir photobook of travel from Prince Rupert, British Columbia to Skagway, Alaska, assorted black and white photographs, unidentified but probably also of the NorthWest coast, and several postcards.

Fonds consists of letters from Captain George Hutingford to his wife dating from November 1892 to March 1896, including descriptions of the West Coast of Canada ca. 1892, life in the Royal Navy, and the movements of the HMS Nymphe on the California coast, Mexico, and South America. Contains approximately 400 letters, and a family tree provided by the donor.

Also includes the naval papers belonging to Captain George Huntingford, Royal Navy including the movements of HMS Nymphe from December 1892 to March 1896 and three letters dating to November 1892.

Fonds consists of miscellaneous papers and photos relating to the work of George Phillips at HMC Dockyard, Esquimalt naval stores, his service during World War I, and arctic expeditions.

Fonds includes two Department of Naval Services inspection reports for HMC Dockyards, Halifax and Esquimalt prepared by George Phillips and 11 Department of Naval Services folders containing documents relating to the operation of the naval stores dating from 1917-1922. as well as photocopies of correspondence between George Phillips, V. Stefansson, Mrs. R.M. Anderson, Mrs. Murray, and G.J. Desbarats dating from 1913 to 1915.

Fonds also includes miscellaneous ephemeral related to the Royal Canadian Navy including two issues of "The Naval Volunteer" Magazine dating to December 1915 and January 1916, a Royal Naval Club, Esquimalt account book dating from October 1896 to 31 October 1911, a small painting of HMS Shearwater c. 1911, a pencil drawing of a fireplace with specs c. 1931, a handwritten letter in envelope dated 1912, and a Seattle press club visitor's card for Mr. G. Phillips.

Also includes a small booklet containing information about Canadian Pacific Steamships and a passenger list for the Empress of Scotland sailing from Quebec to Cherbourg and Southampton Wednesday 18 July 1928 as well as a diner menu for Tuesday 24 July 1928 and a lunch menu for Wednesday 25 July 1928. The menus are postcards on the reverse and were collected as souvenirs of a voyage taken by Miss J. Phillips.

Fonds consists of documents relating to the careers of Captain Josiah F. Gosse from 1891 to 1898 and to Captain Douglas McNaughton Gosse from the 1920s to the 1940s.

1. A 1898 account journal for the schooner Otto kept by Captain Josiah F. Gosse consisting of a ledger of advances of pay and charges for items received by crew members from ship's stores such as tobacco, items of clothing, knives, and sacks of flour. A list at the front of the book shows 45 names including one marked as a deserter and the mate, Mr. Collinson. 26 of the crew have indigenous names and there also appears to have been 3 indigenous women on board. The ledger also shows the net payment to each person.

2. A Canadian Pacific Navigation Company log book with "Josiah Gosse (1865-1938), chief officer, Islander Pilot House Log" written in pencil inside the front cover. The log book is believed to have been from the Canadian Pacific Navigation Company's SS Charmer, possibly dating to 1891.

3. Documents relating to the service of Captain Douglas McNaughton Gosse (father of the donor), including correspondence, certificates of competency, certificates of discharge, and registration receipts relating primarily to CGS Estevan but also including various Canadian Pacific Railway British Columbia Coast Steamship Service Princess Line ships, dating from the 1920s to the 1940s.

Fonds consists of personal and professional documents and memorabilia related to Eric Leslie Hammer, wireless operator. Dating primarily from the 1930s and 1940s but also including a certificate of marriage between Eric Leslie Hammer and Yuiko Kato, married 29 June 1977.

Includes a screenplay written by Hammer, postcards, newspaper clippings, certificates, citation of valour, and travel photographs including some photographs of a Mr. and Mrs. Rogers and a reel of film taken of RMS Empress of Russia. Also includes several issues of "Serial Waves" dating to 1940 and some drawings and cartoons.

Fonds consists of a copy of three of Lord Horatio Nelson's signatures, before and after the loss of his right arm collected by H.L. Cadieux. Signatures are on the back of a wood frame and are dated 1786, 1797, and 1802.

And, a booklet titled "Funnel Markings B.C. Coastal Shipping Companies" containing hand illustrated listings of the markings of various British Columbia vessels.

Founds consists of documents and advertising material related to the Princess Marguerite including brochures from the 1975 inaugural sailing of the Princess Marguerite II and the campaign to reinstate the ferry service with the Princess Marguerite III and a scrapbook style book titled "Princess Marguerite - The Story of a "Ferry" Princess".

Fonds consists of a scrapbook concerning John Edward Hill, including photos, certificates, letters, poems, and newspaper clippings relating to his work dating from 1897 to 1925 first in England and then for Canadian Pacific Railway. Scrapbook also includes general material relating to vessels and maritime events around Victoria and some promotional materials for cruise ships.
