Longstaff, Frederick V.Fonds consists of correspondence from Rear-Admiral H.F. Stephenson (Royal Navy Pacific Station) to Lt. Col. G.A.L. Rawstorne relating to mine recommendations by the Admiralty and a reply containing a detailed report and chart with sections contributed by Captain G.E. Barnes and Lt. Poole, Royal Marine Artillery. Chart is of the mouth of Esquimalt Harbour.
Fonds also includes Barnes' photographs of Victoria and Esquimalt area and a mock battle in Beacon Hill Park (Victoria).

The menus are postcards on the reverse and were collected as souvenirs of a voyage taken by Miss J. Phillips.
