Fonds includes two Department of Naval Services inspection reports for HMC Dockyards, Halifax and Esquimalt prepared by George Phillips and 11 Department of Naval Services folders containing documents relating to the operation of the naval stores dating from 1917-1922. as well as photocopies of correspondence between George Phillips, V. Stefansson, Mrs. R.M. Anderson, Mrs. Murray, and G.J. Desbarats dating from 1913 to 1915.

Fonds also includes miscellaneous ephemeral related to the Royal Canadian Navy including two issues of "The Naval Volunteer" Magazine dating to December 1915 and January 1916, a Royal Naval Club, Esquimalt account book dating from October 1896 to 31 October 1911, a small painting of HMS Shearwater c. 1911, a pencil drawing of a fireplace with specs c. 1931, a handwritten letter in envelope dated 1912, and a Seattle press club visitor's card for Mr. G. The menus are postcards on the reverse and were collected as souvenirs of a voyage taken by Miss J. Phillips.
