Fonds consists of the apprentice indenture form, Canadian Government Merchant Marine Limited co-operating with the Navy League of Canada, for George Ronald Newell, dated 21 July 1920 and a cancellation of indenture dated 23 November 1923.

Also includes a list of seamen shipped and discharged at the port of Victoria, B.C. c. 1891, an agreement and account of crew of foreign-going ships document filled out for the schooner Dora Siewerd c. 1891, assorted documents relating to survey and repair vessel Nancy Dee during the period of November 1962 and April 1963 including correspondence and notes.

Also includes black and white photographs of lumber in the hold and a drawing of the Royal Yacht Britannia, and a souvenir book of the trial trip of SS Bowness Park, Captain G.R. Newell, with the compliments of the Canadian Transport Company, 2 dinner menus, and a typed summary of VE day celebrations.

Also includes a notice by the board of trade to masters of ships for guidance in the event of cholera on board describing symptoms of the disease and curative measures to be employed by ships at sea without medical aid, and a booklet outlining the rules for the execution of pilot signals in the Russian Ports, dated 9 March 1861.

Slipped inside the back of the first book is a certificate issued by the general register and record office of shipping and seamen dated 15 January 1919, listing the vessels on which C. Bonner served from 1916 to 1918.

Also includes a certificate of competency first class engineer (steamship) for Clarence J. Bonner no. 60423 dated 10 September 1924 and a photocopy of a scroll/monument awarded to Clarence J. Bonner by Canadian Pacific Railway Company for his service during World War I.

A book titled "The Pullen Records" consisting of photocopies of various records. The records consist generally of a number of historical records of HM Ships in the Arctic compiled by H.F. Pullen in 1954. Specifically included is the log book of T.C. Pullen, Royal Navy, from HMS Cambria and HMS North Star, extracts of T.C. Pullen's journals kept while master of HMS North Star in the 1850s, an extract from the admiralty board of inquiry where T.C. Pullen was a witness, a monthly meteorological report from September 1852 to April 1854, extracts of naval messages and correspondence, a map of the routes taken by W.J.S. Pullen from 1849 to 1851 in the Arctic, an account of the search for the Franklin expedition, and general notes of the life of Vice-Admiral W.J.S. Pullen.

Pullen, describing his accomplishments with the South Australia Company, in the Bay of Fundy, on an expedition in search of Sir John Franklin, and commanding HMS North Star in Sir E. Belcher's Arctic expedition, among others. Includes a section titled "Remarks HM Steam Sloop Salem" describing angorages in the Baltic in 1855, a section titled “Journal of Proceedings HMS Steam Frigate Cyclops on Voyage to the Red Sea for the purpose of Sounding for the bed of electric cable” which consists of a narattive ending with ships about to be docked at Bombay in April 1860, and a section titled “A Few Remarks on the Chart of Bomany Harbour with no name as to its maker” .
