Fonds consists of an unsigned invitation to visit the Canadian Pacific Railway Company's new vessel RMS Empress of Russia at Victoria on 7 June 1913, a boarding pass allowing G.W.A. Crocker and assistant to visit Canadian Pacific Railways's RMS Empress of Asia disembarking troops in Victoria on 24 January 1919, and twelve Canadian Pacific Railway wharf passes signed by L.D. Chethan.

Fonds consists of the personal and professional papers of Harold C. Saunders relating to his naval career including a certificate of indenture and correspondence dating to the 1880s and pilotage certificates, pilotage exemption certificates, and permits dating from 1914 to 1917.

Also includes documents and correspondence relating to his his World War I service including newspaper clippings, and documents specifically relating to his time as a prisoner of war in the Karlsruhe POW camp in Germany in 1918.

Also includes correspondence between the Canadian Government Merchant Marine Limited, dating to 1922.

Fonds also includes black and white travel photographs of the South Pacific including Sidney, Australia, Malta, Singapore, ect., and three photo albums of travel photographs and photographs of various vessels. One photo is dated 1894, others are dated from 1903 to 1913.

Fonds consists of personal and professional documents and memorabilia related to Eric Leslie Hammer, wireless operator. Dating primarily from the 1930s and 1940s but also including a certificate of marriage between Eric Leslie Hammer and Yuiko Kato, married 29 June 1977.

Includes a screenplay written by Hammer, postcards, newspaper clippings, certificates, citation of valour, and travel photographs including some photographs of a Mr. and Mrs. Rogers and a reel of film taken of RMS Empress of Russia. Three continuous certificates of discharge booklets of Clarence J. Bonner, no. 947895 for service 1 May 1918 until 15 June 1944, listing names of ports and dates of discharge. Slipped inside the back of the first book is a certificate issued by the general register and record office of shipping and seamen dated 15 January 1919, listing the vessels on which C. Bonner served from 1916 to 1918.

Also includes a certificate of competency first class engineer (steamship) for Clarence J. Bonner no. 60423 dated 10 September 1924 and a photocopy of a scroll/monument awarded to Clarence J. Bonner by Canadian Pacific Railway Company for his service during World War I.

Includes handwritten notes, poems, and drawings, narrative accounts of various naval operations, professional correspondence, instructions, and several issues of "Serial Waves" newsletter. These documents are housed in an RMS Empress of Russia leather document holder.

Fonds consists of photographs of Bill Cottingham (believed to be the same man in all photos), three in sailor uniform and two in civilian clothes, at least one of those taken in Manila, Philipines.

Fonds also includes a photograph of an unidentified woman aboard the ship Chemonceaux, two photographs of RMS Empress of Russia, and a 1935 Christmas card from RMS Empress of Russia.
