Sem títuloThe Consolidated Whaling Corporation Ltd. had its main wharf based out of Point Ellice. The company was incorporated in 1918, registered in 1922 as an extra-provincial company, and continued operations until 1942, and the company was finally dissolved in 1953. The vessels and office equipment was auctioned of in 1947 when the company filed for bankruptcy, with the vessels being purchased by a number of companies, mainly MH Kramer, Northern Junk Co., that were later dismantled for scrap. It was preceded by the Victoria Whaling Co, the Pacific Whaling Co, Queen Charlotte Whaling Co, and the Canadian Northern Pacific Fisheries. The company had a total of 5 whaling vessels: the Black, the Blue, the White, the Brown, and the Green. The Gray was the company tender and travelled between Victoria and whaling stations with supplies and returned with whale oil, whale bone and other items which it would take to San Francisco to sell. All whaling stations were closed by 1967.

Fonds consists of a Sons of the Sea initiation certificate for M/V Moveria dated 8 October 1935, and 7 photo albums consisting of photographs of vessels organized into the categories naval vessels, fishing vessels, passenger and freight vessels, ferries and government vessels, tugs, and dockyards around Vancouver Island. Also included are 47 loose album pages.
Fonds also includes an oak box contains mostly photographs from 1963 to 1967 of ships in Victoria. There are a mix of naval vessels, coast guard ships, and various vessels in local shipyards, including Island Tug and Barge.

Collection contains a mix of books, textual documents, photographs, newspaper clippings, and one film reel. Records include plans and specifications of Trekka, correspondence, inventory lists, biographical information on Trekka's owners, log books, work books, registration certificates, receipts, tonnage certificates, bill of sale, and a 1959 Panama Canal tonnage certificate.

Also includes an oil painting of a muzzle heading rifle gun and crew shown schematically on shipboard with gun rigged and ready to fire, painted by Anthony Clarke.
