She was built in 1940 by Marine Sales & Service Co. Ltd. in Vancouver, she was soon requisitioned for Fishermen’s Reserve until 1945. There is correspondence regarding the requisition of the vessel for the Second World War between TH Evans, TM Stephen, AA Stephens. The reports are on the general condition of the hull and machinery from both 1945 and 1940.
