Fonds consists of a typed letter addressed to Rear Admiral E.W. Finch-Noyes recounting the writer's experience of the near sinking of the HMCS Grilse in 1916 and a newspaper clipping from 1916 that states that Grilse and all men are believed to be lost.

Also includes commissioning booklets of HMCS Saquenay, Skeena, Margaree, and Chaudiere, dating from 1956, 1957, and 1959, and a programme for the presentation of the Queen's Colour to the Royal Canadian Navy by Her Majesty the Queen in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Saturday 1 August 1959.

Fonds consists of a single telegram sent from Reuben Hamilton from HMCS Niobe in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to Mrs. M.W. Hamilton in East Vancouver dated 9 December 1917 (three days after the Halifax explosion). Telegram reads: "Escaped uninjured".

Fonds consists of a crew list for HMCS Venture for maiden cruise 1938 with illustrated track chart and a photocopy of an article titled "A training Schooner for Canada's Navy" copied from "Yachting Magazine", March 1938.
