        Three Canadian naval vessels have been named Grilse. The former American yacht Winchester converted to a torpedo boat/destroyer that served on Atlantic coast from 1915 to 1918; the former German war prize training yacht Dontaff that subsequently became yacht Goldcrest; and the former American Barbel class submarine USS Burrfish that served as HMCS Grilse on the Pacific coast from 1961 1969.
