Fonds consists of the personal and professional papers of Harry F. Leggett, relating primarily to his service in World War II. Documents include ration books, liquor permit, short leave application cards, naval telegrams, handwritten correspondence, and a list of survivors and missing from HMCS Margaree.

Fonds also includes newspaper clippings dating from the 1950s, a 1957 commissioning booklet for HMCS Fraser, and a handwritten journal detailing Leggett's war record in 1939 and 1940.
