              Built in 1925 by Arnet & Berg in Vancouver as a seiner fishing boat. In 1939 Cape Beale was requisition into the Fishermen’s Reserve fleet as a Minesweeper auxiliary and 1942-1944 she served as a tender to HMCS Givenchy.
              Correspondence regarding the requisition of the vessel for the Second World War between JT Edmond, FA Willsher, TM Stephen and 4 reports from 26 May 1944 on the hull and machinery done at the Esquimalt Naval Dockyard. There is also a Main reconversion, alterations, repairs and renewals report.
