A. Thomas served in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was an engineer on HMCS Niobe and other HMC ships during World War I.
A.N.C. King served as assistant paymaster (?) for HMS Daring while she was in the Pacific Station and China Station of the Royal Navy, 1874-1889.
Vancouver-based towboat operator created through merger of Island Tug and Barge and Vancouver Tugboat Company. The company has since absorbed other smaller towboat companies. It is a part of the Seaspan Corporation.
Wooden sidewheel steamer, 932 tons gross. Built in New York as the Olympic and rigged as a brig. She was purchased by Hudson's Bay Company in 1878 and renamed Princess Louise. In 1883, she was purchased by Canadian Pacific Navigation Company. In 1903, she was transferred to Canadian Pacific. In 1906, she was sold and converted as a barge. She sank at Port Alice in1919. This was the first of the coastal passenger ships with a Princess name.
