Previously in the United Kingdom's service as the HMS Foxhound. Trandsferred to the Royal Canadian Navy in 8 February 1944, during the Second World War, and renamed for the Qu'Appelle River. Sold for scrap December 1947.

Founded in 1902, and operating near the port of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, RDM was a major shipyard that provided shipbuilding and engineering services to the Netherlands and abroad. At the beginning of the second world war, the Drydock company soon became interested in weapons production, and continued operation through Nazi occupation.
